Poem called ‘Are we aware’
Are we aware?On awakening we say laillah ha illala
We say laillaha illala
But do our hearts?
Do we feel these words?
Do we embrace them?
Do we know their meaning?
We do wudu
But do we have the intention
Do we have the intention that we are purifying ourselves?
Purifying ourselves for Allah (swt)
Our minor sins being washed away with the mercy of Allah (swt)
What a great blessing indeed
But are we aware
Or do we just act blindly
With no niyah
We begin our salah
We recite the beautiful Surah Fathiha
But are we aware of its beauty, its uniqueness
Within it we ask Allah to keep us away from the devil
For surely he is the most evil
We praise our lord ar raheem
But can we be sure that it’s from truly within
That these words are beating out from our hearts
And are not just mere spoken words
With no love or passion
We ask him to guide us on Siraatal-Mustaqiim-
For it is only he who can help us
Alhumdulillah hi rabil alameen
The lord of the worlds
There is none greater than him ,
None comparable to him
The only worthy of worship
Brothers and sisters lets ponder upon these words
Feel them, live them
Stay on the straight path
And away from Allah’s wrath
